Celebrating Student Success
Thursday 12th August 2021 was a day full of rejoicing as all my students passed their exams. Throughout the day I received texts, emails, phone calls, as well as Zoom calls, all reporting on their happy successes.
They achieved success in a range of subjects from three of the exam boards (AQA, Eduqas and Edexcel) including:
English Language, English Literature, Maths, History and Combined Science.
Students who had been referred to me via an assortment of methods including:
- Word of mouth from current or past students
- Teachers in local schools
- Tutor Interventions Facebook page
- Tutor Interventions website
- Nextdoor
- Tuition agencies (Targeted Provision and Equal Education)
All of the students managed to overcome a turbulent two years due to the impact that the Covid pandemic had on their education. Difficulties from interrupted learning due to school closures, isolation, burst bubbles, access to technology/ the internet/ Wi-Fi signals/ variable provision of remote lessons/ emailed/ hand-delivered work - let alone differing levels of SEN and MH needs.
Therefore I was especially overjoyed with the results for all who were referred to me due to their Mock results or their targeted grades being between grades 1 - 3. With hard work, determination and perseverance, as well as a commitment to completing all homework tasks, they were awarded grades ranging between 4 and 8. All fabulous passes.
So good luck and well done to all you Superstar Students. You have been fantastic.
